Monday night in Bowie is shaping up to be something special.

Tonight at Silver Strings Dance Hall we are teaching the Cowboy Two Step featuring the Houlihan, a smooth cowboy style top work movement inspired by traditional rope handling and classic western movement. This is real Cowboy Social Dancing rooted in timing, connection, footwork, and authentic western tradition.

We start at 6 PM with Cowboy Dance Foundations. This session is designed for anyone wanting to learn the right way to dance the Cowboy Two Step. Whether you are brand new or have been dancing awhile and want to sharpen your fundamentals, this class will help build confidence on the dance floor. No partner and no experience required.

Then from 7 to 9 PM the dance floor comes alive with live music and dancing featuring the Ole Troubadours. Memorial Day Monday deserves real western music, good folks, and a packed Texas dance floor.

Tonight we also pause to remember the men and women who gave everything for this country. Memorial Day is about honor, sacrifice, and remembering those who never made it home. We are proud to celebrate our western heritage and American spirit together here in Bowie, Texas.

The Professional Cowboy Social Dance Rodeo Association proudly welcomes you to a brand-new Tuesday night tradition at Swingtime Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

This is not beginning level dance lessons. This is Competition Level Instruction rooted in authentic Cowboy Social Dancing traditions and taught by AIFCSD certified Cowboy instructors from the Rafter Rocking H who teach Dance the Cowboy Way.

Every Tuesday night from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, dancers will train in Square Dance, Partner Dance, and Line Promenade with a brand-new movement taught each week to help sharpen timing, floorcraft, connection, and confidence on the dance floor.

Whether you’re preparing for future PCSDRA competition, looking to strengthen your fundamentals, or simply wanting to learn authentic cowboy dance culture the right way, these classes are designed to build real dancers through structured repetition, musical understanding, and practical floor experience. From traditional traveling movement to proper lane etiquette and partner coordination, every lesson is focused on creating capable social and competitive dancers.

For just $10 per person, dancers will receive hands-on instruction in a true western environment surrounded by others who are passionate about preserving and advancing Cowboy Social Dancing culture. This is where heritage meets discipline, where tradition meets presentation, and where the next generation of Dance Rodeo competitors begins their journey.
