Howdy folks! Wanted to give a quick update on the future of our little festival, as we've been getting a lot of inquires of late. Highland City Club, which is our festival’s location, and the City of Boulder are in negotiation to determine the number and size of public outdoor events City Club can hold without adversely affecting the traffic and neighborhood.

In light of this, City Club has started the application process to acquire the necessary permits so that events like ours could be hosted here. While we all feel confident that this will be approved, the timeline of this pending approval simply doesn't line up with the timeline needed to start committing sponsors, vendors and bands, for an August 2019 event.

The last thing we need is a mini "Fyre Festival" situation on our hands! Out of respect for everyone involved, we're going to take a deep breath, let this process shake out, and plan to come back stronger in 2020 on a quality level that we can all be proud of.

Just as a person walked through the gargoyle-topped gates at Boulder's Highland City Club on Saturday for Grapes and Grass — an outdoor celebration of wine and bluegrass music — there were goats.

Bonnie & Taylor Sims are a musical couple from Texas who now make their home in the . Bonnie plays mandolin and carries on the musical tradition of her father, a life long Texas banjo playing legend and songwriter. Taylor plays flat-top guitar and is an award-winning songwriter and recording artist from wide open spaces of West Texas. When they are not playing as the duo, they front a 5-piece country/rock band called Bonnie & the Clydes. With 4 critically acclaimed albums and multiple awards, they continue to write, perform and produce real Americana music that is truly their own.
