Whitney and Marshall’s bridal session last summer was the best of both worlds✨

We started at the Thomas S. Monson Center, leaning into the clean architecture, soft light, and those quiet in between moments that make bridal portraits feel so timeless. Then we headed up the canyon where the grasses were tall, the mountains opened up behind them, and everything felt wild and expansive.

I loved the elegance of architectural spaces paired with the freedom of the mountains. It gives couples a gallery that feels layered and full of contrast.

Whitney’s florals by were absolutely stunning. Soft, textured, and delicate in a way that felt like art. They somehow looked just as perfect against stone and arches as they did blowing through the green grasses.

Bridal sessions like this are one of my favorite parts of the process because they create space to slow down and soak in the excitement before the wedding day arrives.

If you had to choose one for your own bridals…
architecture or mountains?

There is something different about a wedding where you can look around the table and know every single person there has been part of your story.

This intimate celebration in Ouray included fewer than twenty guests, a cliffside ceremony overlooking the San Juan Mountains, and an outdoor dinner prepared by a private chef. Before each course, he stepped forward to explain what he had made, and the guests raised their glasses between courses as the sun set behind the peaks.

When you picture your wedding day, do you imagine one long table with your closest people or a packed dance floor?

Running a wedding photography business means wearing a lot of hats, but the core of it is simple. I care deeply about the people I photograph and the experience they have from the first email to final gallery delivery.

If you’re flying to the coast for your bridals, you have to embrace the elements.🌊

They came into San Diego knowing they wanted something that felt big and coastal, so we didn’t fight the wind or the waves. We leaned into it. Barefoot on the cliffs, hair doing its thing, ocean stretching out behind them.

If you’re planning a destination bridal or engagement session, let’s choose a place and fully embrace it what makes it unique.

There’s something special about the quiet before the day begins🤍

The hum of bridesmaids in the background,
curling irons warming up, lipstick passed back and forth, and laughter bouncing off old plaster walls

And then the softer moments of a mom’s hands fixing the last pieces of her daughter’s hair, a sister stepping in close, and in the slow, careful buttoning of a dress

This restored historic space in Montana held so much character on its own. The vintage vanity, the worn floors, the way the light moved through the windows. My role was simply to curate what was already there and document it honestly. To step back. To find the angles. At one point I was literally tucked into the shower just to give them space and let the moment unfold naturally.

That’s always the goal for me. Capturing what’s real while honoring the intimacy of it. Being present without ever interrupting what matters most.
