The final full length album recorded in the grate room of the house will be released on all streaming platforms on Jan 29th 2021.
“Wolf Jett”, the band’s debut album was recorded in December 2019 at their “Hill House” home in Boulder Creek, CA. The year 2020 was supposed to be a pivotal one for the band. Three summer/fall tours and multiple festival appearances were booked on both coasts of the US in support of their new album, but as Neil Young said, “the devil fools with the best laid plans.”
Covid hits and halts everything in its tracks. All tour dates are canceled and the album release put on hold. The band turns their focus to new material and building an analog recording studio in the house so they won’t have to keep taking over the living room. Sadly, tragedy strikes again. This time in the form of a lightning storm that causes the CZU fires to rip through the Santa Cruz mountains and take the beloved “House on a Hill” and the newly-completed studio with it. All is lost in the flames.
Over the past several months the band continues to regroup in the wake of the tragedy, and have decided now is the right time to get “Wolf Jett” out into the world. It will stand as the final full length album to be recorded in the “grate room” of the home before the fires took it on August 20th, 2020. It is a chance to hear the house speak one last time through the music of Wolf Jett. Find it at your favorite streaming location on Jan 29, 2021.
The cover art was created by Boulder Creek local Nicky Gaston and depicts Eagle Rock, which could be seen from “House on a Hill”. It was sadly engulfed in flames, too.
