Every rodeo team needs good horses, hard-working kids, and people who help keep western traditions alive.

This year, our team was lucky enough to spend time with Maury. Through stories, conversations, and countless moments shared around the arena, our kids got to know a man who represents the values that make the cowboy way of life so special: integrity, humility, hard work, kindness, and respect.

They loved listening to his stories, learning from his experiences, and getting a glimpse into a lifetime lived the cowboy way.

Last night, the Boulder City Rodeo Team presented Maury with a buckle as a small token of our appreciation for the wisdom, knowledge, friendship, and encouragement he has shared.

The buckle may be small, but the impact he has had on our team is not.

Thank you, Maury, for sharing your time, your stories, and a lifetime of cowboy wisdom with the next generation. We are proud to call you part of our rodeo family!

Finally getting around to posting from Mother’s Day weekend at the Wells Rodeo, and what a weekend it was for the Boulder City High School Rodeo Team!

Evalynn brought home 3rd in barrels, and Aiden absolutely crushed it by winning the first go-round and taking the average for the weekend! Emma and Desi both put together beautiful runs in barrels and poles and continue to represent Boulder City so well every time they enter the arena.

Colin and Preston may not have covered this weekend, but those boys showed up ready to compete and gave it everything they had. That’s rodeo sometimes. You dust off and come back stronger at the next one.

We are so proud of this entire team and the way these kids continue to support each other, work hard, and represent Boulder City with heart, sportsmanship, and determination every single event.

Our team is headed north this week for State Finals, and we cannot wait to cheer them on. Be on the lookout for updates!

Another amazing weekend at the Boulder City Spring Jamboree.

While most people were out enjoying it, our rodeo kids were out there doing what they always do… showing up for this town. Volunteering, helping, giving their time, even when their schedules are already packed.

These aren’t just kids who ride. They’re working year round...up early, working horses, practicing, traveling, and still finding a way to give back to a community they care about.

You’ll usually spot them in their pink shirts when they’re out volunteering, and every time you do, just know… that time isn’t easy to give. It’s chosen.

Proud of these athletes for always stepping up and representing Boulder City, and our equine community the right way.

This weekend at the Las Vegas High School Rodeo at the South Point was something special.

Every time a Boulder City kid’s name was announced, the stands erupted. The cheers were loud, proud, and impossible to miss. You could feel it from the arena floor.

The love and support for this team was undeniable.

These kids show up for each other the same way this town shows up for them. All weekend long they were cheering from the fence, helping one another, and celebrating every run together.

That kind of support, from teammates and from this community, is what makes Boulder City so special.

To everyone who came out to cheer on our team, thank you. Your support matters more than you know, and our team, felt it all weekend.

Come cheer on the Boulder City High School Rodeo Team this weekend at the South Point!
There’s nothing like watching these kids run into the arena. The nerves, the adrenaline, the moment when everything comes together. It’s always an exciting event to watch.

Barrel racing, roping, rough stock and more. Our team has been putting in the work and they would love some hometown support in the stands.
Even better, it’s free to attend.

So come out, grab a seat, and help fill the stands with Boulder City cheers. These kids deserve it!

All of these kids do great at rodeo, with winter break coming to an end, they all work hard on their off time also, always striving to get better, going to clinics, other events to continue to improve. Gonna give a shout out to our Evalynn Robles going to her first breakaway roping jackpot, and roping amazing on her new horse, placing and winning her first roping money! Great job kiddo!

Great job to all the rodeo kids killin it at the parade! A huge shout out to Cassandra and Carrie for taking the lead on making the float amazing and all their hard work they continue to give toward the club! And a big thanks to Coach Kyra, and coach krook for keeping the kids wrangled and safe, and helping with the horses during the parade. Big thanks to Cody for getting his workout in, bucking the bull riders on drop barrel the whole time on the float!!!! Great job to everyone BC Rodeo is continuing to do great things!!!
