It is important to note that Ujamaa: GrenMart, as described, integrates the critical element needed to connect visitors, tourists, and residents to interactive, fun, cultural and artistic programs and activities conceived to enhance local economies. Ujamaa GreenMart is a Cooperative of local artists who see themselves as a business to earn a living from craft. As such it is a socially responsible business that functions as a network to distribute affordable African art, craft, fabric, jewelry, lighting fixture, and other accessories designed with Eco-friendly materials such as Barcloth, Kyangwe, Calabash's, Banana fibers, Guards, Bamboo, and Trade Beads.
