This will definitely seem off topic but in the U.S. right now there is a bill to end the department of education. You heard me right. That along with other daily unconstitutional actions will negatively impact us all. If you care at all about democracy, or preservation of any sense of humanity in this country, please reach out to your elected officials and make sure they know you want them to fight for you with everything they’ve got.

You can call Indivisible at 1-844-909-0232 and they directly connect you with your senator and provide a script of what you need to say in order to demand they do what you are asking instead of capitulating, or you can call your representative directly. We are huge fans of a and winter is no exception! Another stellar example of local chefs with big hearts!

We've teamed up with Jose Andres's effort. Weekdays (Wed-Fri), between 11am and 6pm, through Friday Feb 8 (for now), any federal employee with an ID can have a soup and half sandwich on us, any combination from our menu of the day.

Jose is a hero, and we'll do our best to fill the spirit of this sentiment:
"We feed people of all parties," Andrés previously told Food & Wine. "We opened a kitchen because right now we have workers who are in pain...I’m a guy that believes in building longer tables, not higher walls. I have friends of both parties, and when we are around the table, somehow, everybody knows where to find common ground. And we respect each other, and that’s the way it should be—in America or anywhere around the world. If anybody’s hungry, we will be there."
