Happy Wednesday! And what better way to celebrate Hump Day than highlighting Katie McGregor, a 2x Boston 10K for Women champion! She raced to the top of the podium in 2005 and 2006, and finished second in 2007 and 2011.

As a Wolverine at the University of Michigan, Katie was a 3x NCAA champion and claimed the NCAA cross country individual title in 1998. Following her collegiate career, she competed on the U.S. world cross country team, participated in the U.S. Olympic Trials, and won back-to-back USA Women's 10K Championships.

An inspiration to a generation of female athletes, McGregor was inducted in the Michigan Women's Track and Field Hall of Fame in 2007.

We’re so excited to welcome Lindsey Thorne-Bingham back as a Boston 10K for Women Ambassador!
Lindsey is a five-time marathoner and LeadHer with TrailblazHers Run Co., where she loves supporting and encouraging women on their running journeys. She’s a big believer in the power of community and the “get to” mindset—because we don’t have to run, we get to run.
We love Lindsey’s energy, her heart for this community, and her love for the Boston 10K for Women. So happy to have her back on October 10!

Today, we’re highlighting Deena Kastor, our 2007 Boston 10K for Women champion!

If you looked up “excellence” in the dictionary, we wouldn’t be surprised if you saw a photo of Deena. She held the American marathon record for 19 years and was the first American woman to run a marathon under 2 hours and 20 minutes. And if that wasn’t impressive enough, Deena also won the bronze medal in the women's marathon at the 2004 Olympics.

We’re always impressed by the caliber of talent that has come through our race, and we can’t wait to announce our Elite Athletes for 2026!
