And thus ends the last episode of Stormbringer saga.

Putting together these three editions was nothing short of EPIC. We went through Fire and Water (quite literally). We booked bands like Riot City, Tower or Sonja before they got really popular. We brought Visigoth and Traveler, Argus and Twisted Tower Dire, trademark names in the North American Heavy Metal scene.

As I read through your heartfelt notes in the book of memories (thanks Canute!), I shed a tear, of happiness and sadness, for this is a good bye note, but also a note of gratitude.

I am grateful for the opportunity to live heavy metal as an all-encompassing community building. Whether it is as a musician on stage or as a promoter, all I want is to bring us closer together, to break the isolation that keeps us apart, to build bridges and to demolish walls.

I will keep doing so - focused on Adamantis. There are some new gigs this summer in the works, and I hope to see you all there!

Last but not least. Please keep Storming the Walls of oppression, hate, bigotry and fascism. We are Steelclad, and we are bold. We stand for those who can’t stand. We speak for the speechless. And we will prevail!

Stormbringers!!!

This is what heavy metal is all about: it’s community, it’s brotherhood (and sisterhood), it’s family. As they say, it’s not only music, it’s a chosen way of life!

We will make a longer post tomorrow, for now we are enjoying a well-deserved day off.

Weather includes a healthy dose of heavy metal, community and antifascism.

A message from the organization:

As you know, we live for heavy metal, and this small summer party is very dear to us all. We want to make this event as memorable as possible for all of you maniacs who have supported us since the beginning.

We produced a very limited run of t-shirts to commemorate this third edition, so be sure to grab yours before they disappear forever.

As in the past, t-shirts will be available only at the festival; there will be no online sales. We will also have some patches, but very few remain, so they are also likely to sell out quickly.

Now, while we are not technically a non-profit organization, in reality, no profit is being made. In fact, many small festivals like ours operate at a loss. All funds go towards covering 1) the costs of production and 2) helping bands travel here. This is simply the reality of our situation.

With that said, we are quite sure that this will be the LAST edition of the Stormbringer Metal Festival.

A true heavy metal stronghold, Lady Beast will descend on our stage all the way from Pittsburgh (The Steel City). They just dropped a KILLER album - The Inner Alchemist - available worldwide via Dying Victims Productions, and we are hyped to see them deliver these cuts Friday June 13 at Ralph's Rock Diner.
