Andrew Bailey Joins the Red Sox as the New Pitching Coach!

Hello, Sox Nation! We’ve got some exciting news from Fenway Park. Former All-Star Andrew Bailey is now officially the pitching coach for the Boston Red Sox. He joins Alex Cora’s staff, reuniting with his old teammate and now Chief Baseball Officer, Craig Breslow.

🤝 A Unique Reunion: Bailey and Breslow, former bullpen partners, joked about this possibility during their playing days. Now, their dream has become a reality, adding a special touch to this appointment.

🏟️ Bailey’s Journey Back to Boston: Despite his career as a player being cut short by injuries with the Sox, Bailey is eager for this second chance. His rich experience, including being the 2009 AL Rookie of the Year and a two-time All-Star, makes him an exceptional addition to our coaching staff.

📈 From Player to Coach: Bailey’s journey has been remarkable. From his time with the Giants as a pitching coach to his diverse experiences across multiple teams, he brings a wealth of knowledge and personal insights into the highs and lows of baseball.

🎗️ More Than a Coach: Off the field, Bailey is also contributing to the community as the director of development for the Breslow’s Strike 3 Foundation, supporting childhood cancer research.
