Borrego Springs, CA — The Borrego Springs Performing Arts Center (BSPAC) is holding auditions for Crazy Quilt Club, a staged mystery comedy directed by Jennifer Looney. Auditions are Monday–Tuesday, March 9–10, 2026 at 10:00 AM at BSPAC.

The show will be staged at BSPAC in March 2027 (this is not readers theatre), giving cast members plenty of time to learn lines and rehearse.

Crazy Quilt Club is a fast-paced whodunit set in a retirement home for knitters. When a club member dies after drinking bad punch—poisoned or not—suspects multiply, clues pile up, and a determined police officer tries to solve the case before the next twist.

Cast needed: 7 women and 2 men (characters are primarily retirement age).

Roles include: Matilda Thibedeaux, Myrtle Ipswitch, Clara Quinten, Sarafina Litton, Viola Underwood, Lydia Thornedyke, Veronica Blather, Dr. Joe Lydecker, and Lt. Jack McCoy.
