Nature on the Geaux 🌿 Discover Nature. We are based out of Slidell and travel to the following parishes: St. Tammany, Orleans, Jefferson, Washington, Tangipahoa, St.

Inspire Wonder.
🐢 Wildlife & Environmental Education Programs
📚 Schools • Libraries • Camps • Events
📍 Southeast Louisiana & Coastal Mississippi Bernard, and MS counties: Harrison, Pearl River, Hancock, Stone with no additional mileage. If you are outside these areas there is an additional flat charge of $25 to offset gas costs/mileage. We travel to parishes or counties bordering the ones we already travel to.

For those of you who followed along while Knox was sick, I’m so happy to share that he has gained back every single ounce of weight he lost… and even added a few more pounds! 💕🥹

I know so many of you love meeting our animal ambassadors, but what you may not realize is that they are so much more than the animals I bring to programs. They are my family.

My life truly revolves around them. From their daily care and enrichment to worrying about them when something isn’t quite right, they are a huge part of my world. Their health, happiness, and well-being will always come first.

Seeing Knox healthy, happy, and back to himself means more to me than I can put into words.

Thank you to everyone who checked on him, sent well wishes, and rooted for him during those scary weeks. I’m so grateful he’s doing so well! 💕

Nature on the Geaux's calendar is officially closed for the remainder of 2026!

All previously scheduled programs and events will continue as planned, but I won't be accepting any additional bookings for this year.

At Nature on the Geaux, our Classroom Wildlife Education Programs are just $175 for up to 40 participants. That's only $4.38 per student with a full group of 40!

Did you know? The Blue Death-Feigning Beetle comes from the dry deserts of the American Southwest and can live for up to 10 years ❤ They get their cool blue color from a waxy coating that keeps them from losing moisture.

When scared, they keel on over and "die"...think of any other animals that do that? I can!
