Enjoy these words from Keith Hartzell, woodworker extraordinaire...and be sure to check out his area at FLT coming up May 9. Don't miss this event folks!

"I had a busy day today!
I cleaned up and organized a little in the shop, got all the parts for the flying birds clear coated, (ready for assembly) then....
I sanded and put the first coat of clear on all 7 cedar bowls!
I think they're gonna be beautiful! 🙂
I'll see if I can get them all assembled tomorrow!?
Then, sand the bowls with 400 grit sandpaper, and....
put the final coat on them tomorrow!
After that,
I have to get ready for FLT Day (Families learn together) at Turtle Island Preserve hosts "Families Learning Together" with Eustace Conway
We're going to take the sawmill, do a wood cutting demonstration, and show people how....
We turn trees into Gold!
I'll also talk about some of the other advantages to having a sawmill!
Like,
Building homes, chicken houses or out buildings, selling lumber, or do like we do....
cut lumber for our woodworking business!?
The way I look at it is:
"Instead of just selling one cherry board for $20, I can build a few cutting/charcuterie boards with it and make $200." (Just for one example)
But I'll also have some samples of our work and our craft booth set up to sell our creations!
Well, Teresa Tagle Hartzell and Sonja Vidunas Heeter will do that part! 😉
So anyways,
If you're in the area, mark your calendars for May 9th. and come spend the day at Turtle Island Preserve and show your Love and support....
for a good cause!
There's going to be a lot of great crafters and artisans there demonstrating as well!
So, don't miss out!
It'll be a cool day to spend out in nature!"
