Just a little update that just went out in the newsletter. If you're not already a newsletter subscriber...head over to 2theborder.com and get signed up.
Hey everyone,
We have been blessed (or cursed) with a very light winter, so we have already been out scouting trails and building routes for this year. Compared to last year....we have a lot more access and much earlier than normal which is great. If you were there last year, you know. If you weren't — well, you missed out.
Here's the thing:
2 The Border is for everyone and its about ADVENTURE. I learned last year that you guys and girls want to get out there. Those of you who showed up last year despite the weather....you REALLY wanted to be there....and I love that. This year, it's about that. This isn't a motorcycle rally in the traditional sense. There's no vendor village trying to sell you things you don't need. No headliner acts. No velvet ropes. It's just riders, pavement, dirt, and the kind of conversations that only happen when you're a long way from the noise of everyday life.
Every year it gets a little bigger. Every year the routes get a little more legendary.

WE'RE STEPPING UP THE POKER RUNS.
We heard you. And we took it up a notch.
On-Road Route — ~180 miles | Friday, June 20
This isn't a Sunday cruise. We're talking 180 miles of some of the most stunning pavement Idaho and Montana have to offer. Twisty. Remote. Scenic in a way that makes you forget to check your mirrors. This one takes all day, so get on the road early and soak up every mile. Friday night is wide open — no agenda, no schedule. Just you, the people around the fire, and whoever you met on the road that day. Because there's no agenda Friday evening, you can take your time getting back from the on-road poker run.
Off-Road Route — ~130 miles | Saturday, June 21
Built for adventure bikes and those who like to cover a lot of ground. High-speed dirt, fast trails, short punches of pavement, and views that'll make you pull over whether you planned to or not. This one's for the riders who show up with a little mud already on their boots.
Saturday's off-road run is a full day — plan accordingly and get moving EARLY. Poker hands must be turned in by 4:30 PM. You do not want to be late. Saturday night is when we do the awards, raffle, and dinner — and that's not something you want to roll in for mid-way through.
For our dual sport riders sweating fuel range: Don't worry, we've got you covered. Fuel will be available along the route.

Both routes wind through the kind of country that reminds you why you started riding in the first place. So..... can't decide? DO BOTH.
You're welcome to ride both the on-road and off-road routes and turn in two poker hands — which means two chances to win. Some people come to 2 the Border to relax. Others come to stack the odds. We support both approaches.
Just incase the poker runs are not your style, we will still have the other suggested routes and the geocache prizes available.

See you out there.
