Legend has it that it was the uncle of American Folk hero Davey Crockett who first settled along the Yellow Breeches Creek where Allenberry sits today. By 1778, according to county tax rolls, James Crockett owned the then two-farm tract just outside the quaint country town of Boiling Springs. Soon after, he and his family raised a barn and house that, more than 200 years later, are still in use at Central PA’s premiere rustic boutique resort.

Come together with fellow Nittany Lion fans for an afternoon of Penn State football, community and a cause that means so much. We’ll cheer on Penn State against Michigan while raising funds to help make a difference in the fight against pancreatic cancer.

Last year’s inaugural event raised more than $100,000, fully funding an entire year of the Seena Magowitz Foundation’s Second Opinions Program — helping pancreatic cancer patients access expert evaluations from world-renowned specialists when they need them most.

Fall has arrived at The Barn — and with it, brand-new breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch menus inspired by the flavors of the season.

Start the morning with Pumpkin Cheesecake Stuffed French Toast or the Fall Meadow Quinoa Bowl with roasted delicata squash and c***r-Dijon vinaigrette.

For Sunday brunch, look for Caramel Apple Pancakes, an Autumn Garden Omelette and plenty of other new fall favorites.

Later in the day, settle in for Baked Brie & Roasted Apple, Roasted Squash & Ricotta, the Fall Harvest Salad, C***r Brined Chicken with purple sweet potato and rosemary c***r glaze, or Grilled Pork Tomahawk with bourbon apple chutney. And save room for Pumpkin Tiramisu or Pumpkin Applesauce Cake.
