A first-of-its-kind night for a sport on the mega-rise!
The inaugural Lou Groza Flag Football Awards Banquet celebrated the players, coaches, and teams shaping the future of girls flag football… a sport gaining serious momentum across the country and soon to be an Olympic event.
The Bush’s Boca Raton Bowl of Beans was grateful to stand behind this inaugural celebration because lifting up the next generation of athletes is exactly the kind of moment we love being part of.
Congratulations to the inaugural award winners:
🏆 Coach of the Year: Andrew Joseph, Park Vista
🏆 Player of the Year: Aubrey Fogel, Seminole Ridge
🏆 Team of the Year: Seminole Ridge
A special thank you to keynote speaker Dr. Jennifer Welter, football pioneer and the first woman to coach in the NFL, for showing this next generation exactly what’s possible.
Thank you to the Palm Beach County Sports Commission as well as Palm Beach County Administrator Joe Abruzzo, and former PBC Administrator Verdenia Baker for an unforgettable night, and to every athlete, coach, and family who is helping grow this game. The future of flag football is bright and it’s just getting started 👊🏼
