Our Info + Merch Booth Volunteers are often the first stop for attendees. You’ll greet folks, answer questions, and help share Bloomington Pride MN merch—creating a warm, welcoming experience for everyone who stops by.

Shifts:
Various hourly shifts from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM

A friendly, informed presence helps people feel comfortable, connected, and part of something special from the moment they arrive.

Our Setup and Tear Down Volunteers help create the full experience getting everything ready before the first guest arrives and helping us close out the day with care.

Setup Shift:
11:00 AM – 12:45 PM
Help place signage, set up tents, and prepare the space

Tear Down Shift:
5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Help pack up tents and tables and bring materials to close

Because of you, Pride starts smoothly, runs beautifully, and ends with care for our space and community.

Today, May 17, is the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia.

This day exists because LGBTQ+ people around the world still face discrimination, violence, and exclusion simply for being who they are.
At Bloomington Pride MN, we believe everyone deserves to feel safe, seen, and valued every day, not just during Pride.
We stand for the dignity, safety, and humanity of LGBTQ+ people without exception.

And we know that building a more inclusive world takes all of us.

Today is a moment to:

Help create joyful moments for our youngest Pride guests 🌈

Our Kids’ Area Volunteers support crafts, activities, and family-friendly fun throughout the day. From button-making to simple art projects, you’ll help create a space where kids (and their grown-ups) feel welcome and included.

Shifts:
1:00 PM – 6:00 PM

What you’ll do:
• Help with crafts and activities
• Support the button maker
• Keep the space welcoming and organized

Why it matters:
Creating a space for kids and families helps Pride feel joyful, accessible, and truly for everyone.

Bloomington Pride MN is excited to be featured in the Star Tribune's events calendar for our Annual OUT Hike!

Join us Thursday, May 21, from 9:00–10:30 AM at the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge for a welcoming morning walk in partnership with the Urban Bird Collective. We'll enjoy spring migration, learn from experienced birding guides, and spend time together in nature. Binoculars will be available if needed.

This event centers BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities while creating space for connection, belonging, and care for the natural world.

Find things to do in Minneapolis and the Twin Cities, from theater performances at the Orpheum to events at Xcel Energy Center and Target Center.

While often celebrated in the U.S. with food and festivities, the roots of this day tell a deeper story of resistance and pride. It’s an opportunity to learn, reflect, and celebrate the richness of Mexican culture in all its forms.

At Bloomington Pride MN, we honor the many intersections of identity within our community, including Latinx LGBTQ+ voices, stories, and leadership. Your culture, your history, and your identity matter here.
