Sunflower? Fiddle?
We expect a sunny day on Sunday 7/12 for the 2026 edition of the MCOTMF - high around 83 and "not humid" according to the many weather sources we've consulted.
No floods, either. (Whew!)
We'd love to have you join us!

Thinking about mountain dulcimer?
We have four workshops for you this year that cover absolute beginners to techniques for tuning in old-time keys, and on to playing fiddle tunes up to speed! (Other instruments welcome at that last-mentioned workshop!)
Thanks to Cindi Z. for the photo I "face-lifted!"

If you aren't sure about a banjo master class, look on our schedule for other workshops. Try fingerstyle, working on accuracy before speed, what to do next after learning the basics, and find out about gourd banjos, too! We even have a "scratch" workshop for you if you've never tried clawhammer banjo before (but it's best to bring one with you for that session!)
