BLAND COUNTY FAIR SPONSOR OF THE DAY-

HITACHI ENERGY IN BLAND

Hitachi Energy paid for the materials to build a new stage. The first performance will be the Band of Oz Concert, on Saturday, June 13th.

Wes Strock (Hitachi Energy Plant Manager) grew up in Bland and still lives in the same community. Wes, along with his entire family, have been a part of the Bland County Fair in one way or another for many of the past 100 years.

Logan Porter (Wes's nephew) will be the MC the night of the Bland County Beach Bash- Band of Oz concert.

Bland County Fairgrounds has a BRAND NEW STAGE!!

We were a little over one month away from the Band of Oz concert. We realized that we needed a stage.

Fair volunteers got estimates. Hitachi Energy paid for the materials to build the stage. Blevins Construction, Bland Ministry Center, some of the Bland county Maintenance Crew, and other volunteers utilized their resources, skills, and time to build a brand new, bigger, and sturdier stage.

One anonymous donor (you know who you are) has put in a LOT of extra effort to make this new stage something that will represent Bland County gatherings with pride and confidence.

We don't think about it, but a lot happens on that fairground stage. It supports performances, awards, singing groups, dancing, kids' talent shows, etc.

To start the 100th year of the fair out with a stage that the community pulled together for is just one example of why the Bland County Fair has been going strong for 100 years.
