Through all of the anticipation, and even a couple of weeks early, we are overjoyed to announce one of our beloved crew members has welcomed his first child into the world today!!! Happy Birthday Little One, we can't wait to meet you!

Mama and baby are doing well, while I'm sure Daddy can't stop smiling. We are so happy for your family and wish you all the best newborn baby blessings 🎂🎁🎈🎉💕🧸🤱🏼✨

Four straight days of rain and the lake is finally creeping up — but we’re still sitting about 6.5 feet below full pool.
That slow rise can sneak up on docks, especially when cables haven’t been touched in months.

If you’re around the lake this week, take a minute to check your setup:

Make sure your dock cables are adjusted for the changing water level

Look for tension, slack, or uneven pull

Keep an eye on walkways and anchor points as the shoreline softens from all this rain

A little attention now saves a lot of headache later.
Stay safe out there, and keep those docks happy as the water comes up.

Not every dock needs replacing — sometimes it just needs the right materials and a little craftsmanship.
For this one, we replaced the aging floats, tightened up the structure, and finished it with Endeck PVC decking for a clean, durable, cool‑to‑touch surface built for long lake seasons.
A solid transformation that keeps this dock going strong for years to come.

Every dock has good bones — sometimes it just needs the right materials and a little structural attention to shine again. For this one, we replaced the aging floats, tightened up the foundation, and finished it out with Endeck PVC decking, a premium, 100% cellular PVC board with a reversible woodgrain finish built for long lake seasons. The result is a clean, polished dock that’s solid underfoot and ready for the years ahead.

We’ve been showing up for the Lake Nottely Clean‑Up since before Shores & Moor was even Shores & Moor — and every time, the lake gifts us something weird to talk about.
Last time it was an antique TVA marker, a metal 50 gallon drum that was trying to become part of the shoreline, and something we think used to be a lawn chair. The lake keeps it interesting.

If you’ve never joined in, this is an open‑invite kind of thing — ANYONE can come help. LNIA brings the bags, gloves, pick‑up sticks, and even lunch, so you’re basically showing up for a weird scavenger hunt with sandwiches.
And honestly?
Yeah, you’re picking up trash… but it feels good to clean up a place so many people love. Lake season is about to kick off, and we want Nottely looking sharp for everyone who calls it home (or weekend home).
Come out, laugh with us, and let’s see what oddities the shoreline coughs up this round.

Volunteers Needed: Lake Nottely Spring Lake Clean-Up

Saturday, April 18 • 9:00 AM (meet at 843 Lakeside Dr, Blairsville, GA 30512)

Please join us for our Spring Lake Clean-Up Event! We’ll work together to remove trash from coves around the lake and help keep Lake Nottely beautiful.

LNIA will provide:
• Garbage bags
• Gloves
• Grabbers
• Coffee & snacks before the event
• Lunch from Chic-Fil-A after the cleanup

What to wear/bring:
• Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
• Boots or shoes that can get muddy
• Family and friends are welcome

How it works: We’ll load volunteers onto pontoon boats, drop teams in coves around the lake, and then meet back at the boat ramp.

Plan: Return to the boat ramp for lunch around 1:00 PM.
This event is made possible by local volunteers, with funding from the TVA and support from the Union County government, including a free trash dumpster.

That cold snap rolled in like it had something to prove — 40+ mph gusts, nonstop lake movement, and I’m pretty sure half the docks lost a chair or two to the wind. I did not see a single soul doing the “dock check” walk this morning. Never a dull moment on the lake. ❄️🌨️
