Blaine High School is currently seeking a costume designer or designers for our fall musical: New Sheriff in Town. We make it our goal to create great theatre and give our students an authentic professional experience.
Requirements
-Must have experience in costume design and construction.
-Must enjoy working with high school actors and designers.
Preferred qualifications
-Background in education or working with high school students
-Professional experience and/or a degree in costume design or technical theatre
STIPEND:
This is a contract position, and you will be paid a stipend through an Extra Services Agreement for each of our productions. Approximately $1700.00 for the run.
TIME COMMITMENT: Auditions for the show are October 13 and 14, with performances November 20-22. The cast will involve 25-30 students. Our rehearsals typically run 2:20-4:50, and run later during tech weeks. (These times are somewhat flexible. The costume designer would not be expected to attend every rehearsal.)
