We want to give a huge shout out to everyone who attended the Easter Egg Hunt in Blackwater Saturday. We plan to continue this for many years to come. We want to thank everyone who helped and donated. To Jim Danner for being the Easter Bunny we couldn't ask for a better Mayor. To Jeanne Martin King for cooking up the hotdogs and getting flyers made. To Dara and Watson Personal Training for helping donate some of the hotdogs, smores, and supplies. To Christina Price for the Easter bags. We appreciate all the support and look forward to next year!

The Easter Egg Hunt is still happening at 4:30 today behind city hall! We are currently hiding eggs and excited to see everyone! I even think I saw the Easter bunny!

Dear Vendors and Community,

We would like to inform you that the Blackwater Festival Committee will no longer be hosting a Spring Vendor Event. We will however be replacing it with another event this summer called Blackwater Redemption Day!

This decision was not made lightly. As a small business owner myself, I understand the importance of vendor events and the opportunities they provide. However, after careful consideration, we have found that the significant time, effort, and planning that goes into organizing this event, the turnout has continued to decline.

The month of May presents particular challenges, with graduations, Mother’s Day, and the end of school year creating many competing commitments for families and vendors alike. Ultimately, we feel it is best to focus our efforts where we can provide the greatest benefit and success for both vendors and the community.

We are pleased to share that the Blackwater Fall Festival held annually on the second weekend of October will continue. Our goal is to grow and improve this event, making it a successful and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

We truly appreciate your understanding ,continued support, and involvement in our community events. We look forward to working with you and making our fall festival the best yet.

We want to give all of our vendors a huge thank you to showing up and always being so wonderful! This year we had a wonderful turn out and being it was our first fall festival as coordinators we loved every second of it.

We want to thank everyone who helped get everything put togther before hand. Especially to Courtney Hostetter for sponsoring our tents this year.Thank you to the Blackwater Willing Workes 4-H for helping with the animals throughout the day.

Thank you to Bobby Danner for coordinating and brining in Mike Daniel's with their steam engine for the Wabash Caboose ribbon cutting. Along with Hayley Frevert our this years spring Miss Blackwater for joining in and helping with the ribbon cutting, and handing out ribbons and trophies for our first Annual chili and pie contest.

Last but not least to our judges who did a fantastic job judging the chilies and pies. Jason Root, Andrew Dann, Travis Fenical, and Harold Morton.
We want to thank everyone who participated and plan to make this a new tradition in the fall. Without you all we wouldn't be able to make these things possible and plan to grow and continue to make it better each year.
