Hey everyone!
It's been some time since we had an update on here and we've recently had some folks reaching out about our races - namely Eastern Divide Ultra, High Bridge Ultra, Lake Ridge Endurance Runs, and the Old Glory Trail Runs.
Please take a moment to read the post below. It's from our beloved Anne Jones. She's worked hard (still does in so many ways) but she's ready for retirement. For those that know her personally, you know she's earned it.
For the rest of our team, we've found that we just don't have the capacity to continue to put on these races that you (and we more than anyone) love so much. Seasons change and so does life. They take so much time and work and we've found our focus shifting as of late. This being the case, we won't be having these races any longer.
We'll miss that quite of race morning, just before runners start showing up. We'll miss the eager anticipation of that first runner heading in, the steady stream of "the pack" rolling in, and mustering up every bit of excitement left to cheer in that final runner. We love the mountains and it has been an honor to be there with you as you tackle them head on.
Over the years we've been cussed at (mostly? in jest) at the finish line, leaned on. We've cried, laughed, and heard so many amazing stories from the trail. Keep it up. You're stronger than you think.
To all of the volunteers who have helped out a time or two or the ones that were there for just about every race... On behalf of our team and every runner to toe the line - thank you so much. You helped make the races what they were. You're the ones that helped each runner press on even when they didn't want to or think they could. Thank you!
That's all for now. There are some amazing races out there that have race directors and teams of people who are ready to welcome you in and see you to the finish. Maybe we'll see you at a starting line soon. Till then,
See you around!

Hello Everyone! Starting, almost, the 3rd month of 2024 and so far the year has been full of things to keep us busy...very busy.
Yes, I should have taken care of this announcement long ago, but now is the time that felt most right for me, at my place in time.
After 18 years of training people and putting on events, I am retiring. As are all of the other individuals who have helped us out over the years...
There will be no Claytor Lake Triathlon, Mountains of Misery, Lake Ness Monster, Kids Triathlon, Run for the Kids, Eastern Divide Ultra, High Bridge Ultra, Old Glory Ultra, Lake Ridge 24 Hour, or any of the other crazy but wonderful events we put on over the years.
There are hundreds of people to thank, and I plan to do that individually...or at least in groups.
Thank you to everyone who helped us make TriAdventure a success. We will miss you all!
Anne
