The Lizard Man Stomp An annual festival celebrating the Lizard Man held in his hometown of Bishopville, SC. The 2026 festival is slated for June 27th, 2026 from 10 am to 2 pm

The Lizard Man Stomp is the only OFFICIAL celebration of South Carolina's famous monster - the Lizard Man of Scape Ore Swamp. Join us for a day of food, events and fun in Bishopville, SC every year near the anniversary of the first sighting of the Lizard Man way back in June 1988. New information will be added to this page as we get closer to time for the event so stay tuned! We plan on getting bigger by the year!!!
