The Barnyard Carmel celebrates its 28th year of hosting this annual event, curated by and benefitting The Big Sur Food & Wine Foundation.

On Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 4pm to 7pm, Ferrari owners and aficionados can spend the early evening in the beautiful gardens at The Barnyard, while the Ferrari Owners Club will be on hand to showcase their vintage and new model Ferraris.

The Big Sur Food & Wine Foundation’s Wine Director will hand select wineries to pour tastings while guests enjoy small bites offered by some of the Barnyard Carmel restaurants.

Live entertainment by local band Ashé Ensemble.

We encourage guests to follow up the wine reception with dinner at one of The Barnyard’s restaurants—so make your reservations early!:

We are devastated to learn the news of Jill Shadek’s tragic passing 💔 Jill and Mike have been so generous in their participation in our events for many years, and last year we were fortunate to have them both pour their for us at Magical Mystery Tour. Their love for each other was a bright beacon of light on that foggy day.

The Lucia family has long been part of our Big Sur Food & Wine extended family, and Jill’s loss is felt deeply across our community. We’re coming together to support Mike and their young daughters as they navigate the unimaginable.

After three long years of closure from Paul’s and Regent’s Slide, Highway 1 is finally open again from both the north and the south—and what a moment this is for our Big Sur family.

Deep gratitude to CalTrans for bringing this stretch of road back to life ahead of schedule. Reconnecting with our friends and neighbors on the South Coast in both directions feels like a long‑awaited homecoming.

Leaders across the state have been naming what we already know in our bones: this reopening brings real relief to the small businesses, workers, families, and caretakers who have carried so much through these years of isolation. Highway 1 isn’t just a road—it’s a lifeline, a gathering place, and the thread that keeps our coast woven together.

Big Sur has always been one community, one coastline, one heartbeat. Today’s reopening is a beautiful reminder of our resilience, our interdependence, and the way we show up for one another.

Here’s to restored connection, renewed ease, and the simple joy of being able to reach each other again 💙
