The Bus Stop Sessions started as a rogue ideal to have an intimate live music experience for our folks in Big Stone Gap. The initial plan came from wanting a place to host house concerts from regional artist passing by the area and after sharing this ideal with The Bus Stop Artisan Market a restored bus terminal in downtown Big Stone Gap turned awesome artisan market offered to let us use their workshop space for the sessions and it has quickly become a gathering place for artists and music lovers.
Being the awesome store The Bus Stop Artisan Market has become it continues to expand its business, and as The Bus Stop Sessions continues to grow, we are excited to evolve the series into something connecting even more history and character of Big Stone Gap to these intimate sessions.
While the name will remain the same, The Bus Stop Sessions will now seasonally take the music to different historic, cultural, and meaningful locations creating unique listening experiences in places that have helped shape the story of Big Stone Gap.
Our next chapter begins at the historic John Fox Jr. House, where we look forward to bringing the same intimate atmosphere, great regional touring artists, and community that has defined The Bus Stop Sessions from the beginning.
The series continues to be sponsored by Freedom Chevrolet and we truly appreciate all they do for our community and the arts!!
Check back tomorrow for our artist release for Bus Stop No.4 at The Fox House!!
