Hey Rompers!
We can't wait to welcome you to Big Bear ROMP!
I'm posting this to let you know about a couple things. First off, the weather is looking beautiful with highs in the mid 70's to low 80's during the day, and dropping into the 40's at night. Bring some warm clothes for those nighttime adventures, and some sunscreen for the pool!
Secondly, we're very happy to see a drop in temps because our host hotel has suffered a crippling blow to their building wide AC system. Unfortunately, the AC in some rooms isn't working (mostly the upper floors from what we understand). We're doing our best to move everyone to lower floors or into rooms with their own AC units. However, with nearly all the rooms booked this will not be possible for everyone. BUT like we said, the temps aren't crazy and the rooms are quite comfortable. If you are concerned about it we suggest bringing a fan for your room - we put one in our window and have been very comfortable today! We know this sucks and don't want you showing up surprised by this. The hotel has been WONDERFUL to work with and they are deeply apologetic about the situation. The parts to fix the building's AC are on their way but likely wont arrive in time for the event.
Aside from that everything is looking really great! The fire that started up here last week is out and the hotel has been filled with firemen the whole time we've been here. We, umm, aren't complaining... Might just have to head down to the steam room here shortly... So we want to send a huge thank you to all the firemen for keeping us safe!
LASTLY SOME REMINDERS
1. Jockstraps are allowed to be worn in the pool and hot tub, but not out of the water. Please have a suit or towel nearby to grab.
2. Friday night's BEEFWITCH is an underwear/jock party. We suggest black. A free clothes check will be provided.
3. Saturday night's ROMP IN THE DARK is a gear/fetish party. Free clothes check is also provided for that.
4. The new ROMPING GROUNDS is open all day for everyone to explore. This includes our new maze! A large dark room upstairs, a lounge to flop in, and music to enjoy with or without a full weekend pass. A pass is only required during Beefwitch and Romp in the Dark for these areas.
5. Morning Mischief is our new morning coffee and drink service in the lobby. Grab something to sip on and head up to the Romping grounds to enjoy the view on the balcony, or take a morning stroll in the Maze.
6. The hotel is all ours and signs will be posted warning Karen's that this is a gay event at a gay operated hotel. Harassment from anyone will not be tolerated! If you have any issues please go to the front desk and let them know.
7. We have some tickets available for the second sailing on the lake so head over to the website to grab one if you still want to go. We expect to sell out soon.
