We had a great time!

“Each year at Columbus School for Girls, Upper School Mandarin students learn a traditional Chinese cultural performance during the Lunar New Year time and share it with the school community. This year, the Mandarin IV class learned how to perform the Dragon Dance under the guidance of Master Sen Gao from Sen Gao Martial Arts Academy. In Chinese and broader East Asian cultures, the dragon (龙, lóng) is a revered and benevolent mythical creature symbolizing power, wisdom, good fortune, and prosperity, which is why the Dragon Dance remains a vibrant and popular feature of festive celebrations and major events.
