A 20 minute scene from the play RED by John Logan was directed for the INTERMEDIATE Class this week. The purpose of working in Scene Labs and or full-out Directed Scenes like this is so valuable to implement notes, address recurring areas of the work for each individual actor and to encourage actors to trust in the approach and most importantly to trust their own ability to go for it. We are pretty sure that this kind of dedication from our teachers is rare in the LA array of acting classes. This scene had over 18 hours of teacher input. It was a move-up scene for our Intermediate class Stage Manager, Charlie McGuire and was highly entertaining for everyone in class that evening. Chris LePanto (who is also a fine artist) played Mark Rothko.
This scene was directed by Mia Christou
Congratulations! Great collaboration!
