"I decided to do this event to honor my sister, Jill Kogul, a two time breast cancer survivor who loves to workout and it is one of the main outlets she used to get through her cancer. I think she was totally moved and overwhelmed by the event this year. She is an amazing sister whom I admire and will always look up to. She, along with my other sister, Lisa, is my best friend. She is a survivor who has battled breast cancer twice with grace, dignity and determination. She approaches each day with a smile and optimism. Her courage, determination and positive attitude through various treatments and reconstructions inspired me to do what I could for women who face breast cancer. Just because I can." -- Karen Leder, Co-chair of the Power of Pink

This year we have selected four beneficiaries for our efforts: The Capital Breast Care Center (CBCC), Breast Care of Washington DC, Mercy Health Clinic and Arlington Free Clinic. Guided by evidence-based practices, these organizations provide culturally sensitive breast cancer screening services and health and wellness education to all women in the Washington, DC area, regardless of their ability to pay. We hope you will join us to support the fight against breast cancer while enjoying a workout and luncheon with other like-minded breast care advocates who are passionate about making a difference in women's lives.
