Why is crochet so addictive?! After a 28-year hiatus from crochet, over the holidays, I picked up some yarn and a hook to make yip-yips for my family. Fast forward two months later, and I’ve made at least 9 amigurumi (crocheted stuffed animals), 8 hats (including two dragon hoods), 6 yip-yips, 4 scarves, 2 ponchos, and 2 (big!) blankets. 🤯 Yes, I’m out of control. But in my defense, it’s so therapeutic. I’m back to my needle felting again, but figuring out ways to incorporate crochet into my fiber art in the future. Should I sell amigurumi? I love my felted animals, but these are so much more baby-friendly.

The WHC Holiday Boutique is hosting a free wine and cheese happy hour this year. I provided the festive centerpieces. Yesterday was so fun, and I’m pouring wine again today from 4:30 to 6:30pm. Come have a drink, a bite, and do some holiday shopping this afternoon!

I enjoyed decorating the welcome table at the WHC Holiday Boutique! Come by today or tomorrow until 6:30 pm for lots of great shopping. My arrangements are available for purchase after the show. These nine are arranged to look like a menorah. These are not real candles and not real flowers. It was more fun to make the flowers than melt wax on the glass vases. 😂

Still working on my felted autumn garlands and beaded napkin rings. I thought they were done, but had some more ideas after this photo shoot.🤷🏻‍♀️🍁🍂The leaves are hand-felted wool (both wet and dry techniques) and will never turn brown and crumble. The acorns are made of polymer clay with real caps. Every leaf and acorn is 🤩
