As some of you may know, a very close member of our community, Dylan (aka August West of Brokedown Hustlers), has been recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. Alright Sleepy Creek Family. I know we've been keeping you in the dark and we apologize, but it's been dark on our end too. I wish we had better news to deliver but we don't. Effective immediately, Sleepy Creek Presents will be suspending all operations indefinitely. There are a ton of factors contributing to this decision. Listing them all would be overkill. Plus I'm sure all you really want to hear is that your refund is on the way, or that Jerry Garcia has risen from the Dead and playing SpringDig. Well, neither of those things are happening, at least anytime soon :) However, some silver lining will remain.

With that said, the venue will continue to operate as a fully functioning private campground (just like they did before we ever arrived), and all future events will now be hosted (and funded) directly through the campground and its members themselves. These events will revert back to being invite-only, as all public events must cease to exist. In addition, if you are not a member of the campground, you will not be allowed to enter the grounds without a proper invite. Please keep in mind that this is how the campground always operated, long before they graciously opened their doors to all us outsiders, or even once considered allowing any sort of public events, especially one as crazy as ours!

So, as for all the refunds still outstanding, that is something that will have to be worked out through MissionTix on an individual basis. They are still trying their best to refund thousands upon thousands of tickets from various events throughout 2020. We are just a small dent in their overall debt. Unfortunately I cannot provide any additional updates here. However, I do apologize that we are all forced to be in this position. But I also refuse to believe that they will never attempt to make things right. Let's just pray I'm not crazy!

So. What's next? I could continue rambling for sure, and pour my hear out like you know me best, but I digress. We must embrace this like any other change. It sucks, but its not the end of the world. There are plenty of other venues still operating, even some without a guarantee of rain lol! And maybe, just maybe, someday things will change for the better. But for now, let's please take the time to thank all those that helped make our memories at Sleepy Creek special, especially our underpaid/overworked crew, and even more so, the campground owners Cyndi and Dave. These guys went above and beyond in supporting our cause, ALWAYS! We would have never existed if it weren’t for them. So please, know that we tried our best, and that we all thank you for all your overwhelming support. It always meant the world to us, and more. For it was only through our collective efforts that Sleepy Creek could ever be remembered as one of the best small festivals this side of the Mississippi!

Hey guys. Just another update: The ticketing company is still trying to fix your refund issue. Unfortunately it is out of our hands completely, as your money was collected only by them and not us. However, if you are in a bind and desperately need your refund, please reach out to them directly. I was told it is possible they can get it quicker to those in need. In any sense, we apologize greatly to everyone for the ongoing frustration. It has certainly not been ideal for anyone. The company does plan to get everyone paid eventually. We will try and update again soon. In the meantime, thanks for the patience you have allotted, as it means a lot to us all!

UPDATE: We have re-established contact with our ticket provider at MissionTix. Bottom line, the CEO reached out to us directly and was sincerely apologetic. It was also assured that they have all intention to honor every single refund, but it's gonna take some time. With that said, they have politely asked us to remain patient while they continue to work it all out with the assistance of their legal team. I know this is not what anyone wanted to hear, but it's really all we can do at this point. However, we at Sleepy Creek are extremely sorry for this predicament. We never intended for any of this to happen whatsoever. We will continue to update you with info as it pours in, and we thank you all for your empathy and support during this burdensome process. As for 2020, it can go straight to Hell! Stay safe everyone, and know that we love you!

If you are still waiting on a refund, please be patient. Our ticketing partner is doing their best to get them issued. Please keep in mind they have been completely overwhelmed with refunds and cancellations, but be certain you will get your check soon enough. MissionTix is a solid company, its just a trying time for us all in the industry. If you wish to reach out to them you can. Email will probably work best.

Sorry folks, but we're just gonna make this as short and to the point as possible. Sleepy Creek HarFest 2020 has been officially cancelled. For those that bought SpringDig tickets, a refund check will be sent to you directly from our ticketing providers at MissionTix. PLEASE be aware they are dealing with a ton of refunds and cancellations, and will do their best to get your refund mailed out as soon as possible! Your patience during this trying time will mean a lot to all of us involved. We hope you understand all the tough decisions, and we wish you all the best of luck as time moves on. We love our Sleepy Creek Family. Please hang in there, as we hope to see you again in 2021!
