The open burning regulations restricting spring burning until after 4pm have lifted. However, please remember that you must obtain a burn permit prior to burning a pile of yard debris. These permits may be obtained by calling 540-564-8297 Monday - Friday 8am-5pm. Many parts of the County have received little to no rain in the past month, so please be cautious when conducting outdoor burning by monitoring wind and humidity conditions and ensuring that you have an adequate way to extinguish the fire should conditions change.

On March 28, 2026 we enjoyed sitting down with our fire department family at Southern Kitchen in New Market, where we savored a wonderful meal. The food was delicious, and it was great to show appreciation to all members who could join us. Thank you for your continued support.
