Hey everyone! It has been a long time since posting anything on this page and I know there have been a lot of questions about our operation status and if we are still an active community! We definitely took a hiatus. The last year or so, Tina and I both felt led inward towards our personal family lives, but Spirit has lead us back to pour our energy into Sacred Acres in the year of 2026. We are so excited to open our metaphorical âdoorsâ again, but with a few changes to our mission! â¨
First and foremost, we want to clarify that Sacred Acres has no affiliation with any religion, political party, or other group. We have both witnessed how polarized the world is right now, seeming to get more and more divided every day. That is a big part of what has led us back to this cause now. Though we totally understand that everyone has their beliefs and convictions, we also know that there are a million other groups that speak to those convictions, and that is not what feels aligned with our mission at Sacred Acres. For us, our mission feels more like unifying and bringing humans together to find commonalities, despite differences. We feel strongly that though these personal differences and beliefs are still important and relevant, that our mission and focus is to highlight our similarities without labels or affiliations. If this sentiment doesnât sit right with you, and you feel that your personal convictions are too strong to be able to affiliate with anyone who may have a different viewpoint, we totally understand and respect that and hope that you find a community that can better support your journey! đ¤ This concept of putting a brief pause on our personal labels or affiliations while meeting with this group is not to downplay their importance or even events that are happening in the world, but more as a burning desire to raise the vibration and bring people together. We want to be a group that feeds unity and love, not separation and differences. đ¤
The second major change is that as of right now, many of our events or gatherings will not be held at our actual physical location. Though we will still have an occasional event at Sacred Acres (like our next one đ details to come very soon!) Instead, many of our events will be more informal meet-ups with a focus on community-building without the pressure and effort that it takes to get the grounds up to par for hosting a big event. I think that hurdle got in the way previously of us wanting to do so many events because it was a lot of work! lol And though there still will be events on the grounds (where we are absolutely willing to put in that work!), we want to kind of in-formalize many of the meet ups! Events now may look more like a group walk at a park, or meeting up at a pre-determined location or event, for example! For us, that solves the stress of having to worry about the weather and not having a completed indoor space, while still being able to build community. This also means that we are shifting more into a âcommunityâ vibe vs a physical location for events or camping like we had originally planned. Not that that will be off the table forever, but it doesnât feel like a pertinent focus at this time! Changing our Facebook group name and bio is just reflecting where we feel that our focus is currently!
Lastly, a huge desire that has come up in our personal lives is just for us, as adults, to have more opportunities to return to childlike joy and wonder. It is too easy for us to get stuck in âadult modeâ but we truly believe that when we are able to PLAY, raise the vibe, laugh, and have fun, (not ignore real life, but pause it for a couple of hours) that THEN we can operate out of a more grounded and high vibrational space to handle the rest of life. This is not dissociation, this is an intentional choice to pause and re-center ourselves.
It also feels important to explain that Tina and I are just normal people. We do consider ourselves very spiritual, but we also do feel very different from a lot of the spiritual community. We donât even *try* to pretend to have our lives together. Lol We keep it real and struggle like everyone else. We are the types of people that will meditate to ground ourselves, but end up picking up McDonaldâs for dinner when we get overwhelmed. We will pull tarot cards for clarity, and then ask ChatGPT the same question. We will go for a walk in nature to clear our minds, only to end up brain dumping our âto-do listâ in our notes app that we canât stop thinking about. One could argue we have no business leading a spiritual community, but our personal belief is who better than real people just trying our best like everyone else. đ¤ˇââď¸ We arenât spiritual gurus, and never claimed to be, but we are here in hopes to create a safe place for *anyone and everyone.* Especially anyone who has ever felt alone while doing their shadow work or having a spiritual awakening or questioning their beliefs. Those experiences can be extremely isolating (and were for us!) and our hope is to make you feel less alone and more supported while navigating those times, especially in areas like Johnston County, NC where it can be much more obscure to not go with the typical narrative.
If youâve read this far, thank you. And welcome to our mini-rebrand. đ¤ If you feel aligned with this, please follow along and come to one of our upcoming events! And if you donât align, no hard feelings! We wish you nothing but the best on your personal spiritual journey! đ¤ Everything we do comes from the depths of our heart and convictions, and we will never fault anyone else for doing the same.
To those of you reading this who feel like, âYES. Iâve found my people,â we could not be more happy to have you here. Please make sure you turn on notifications for this page as we have info on our first event coming up!! Thank you so much for your support, and as always, please reach out if you have any questions!! đđŤđ¤
