Marlboro MASH Music, Arts, and Southern Hospitality It continued in the summer of 2015.

Marlboro County's first Summerfest took place alongside the Jubilee Arts Festival June 7, 2014, in beautiful Bennettsville, South Carolina. In 2016, the name of the festival was changed to "Marlboro MASH" (Music, Arts, and Southern Hospitality). Summerfest was the brain child of a group of community-minded Marlboro County residents to promote Marlboro County and attract visitors here. The steering

committee members were Jennie Dalton, Gary Dalton, Frank Faulkner, Phyllis Hubbard, Jennifer Jacobs, Karen Lewis, Rebecca McArthur, Dottie Pharr, Robert Allen Stanton, Tina Tanner, and Jennie Weatherly.
