Belton Standpipe Heritage and Arts Festival Returns October 3
38th Annual Celebration Brings Heritage, Arts, Cars, Music, Food and Family Fun to Downtown Belton, SC
BELTON, S.C. — When the leaves begin turning brilliant shades of orange, gold and burgundy, it can only mean one thing—the Belton Standpipe Heritage and Arts Festival is back!
On Saturday, October 3, 2026, thousands of visitors are expected to gather in historic downtown Belton for the 38th annual festival, a full day of family entertainment, live music, arts and crafts, history, automobiles, food and fun.
Sponsored by the City of Belton, with activities hosted by numerous community partners, the Standpipe Heritage and Arts Festival has become one of Anderson County’s signature fall traditions. Admission and parking are free, making it the perfect day out for families, friends and visitors of all ages.
Something for Everyone
From an early-morning breakfast to an evening fireworks finale, there will be plenty to see and do throughout the day.
American Legion Breakfast
Campbell Street | 8–10 a.m.
Start the festival day with a hearty breakfast sponsored by the American Legion. For just $10, enjoy cooked-to-order eggs, sausage and bacon, biscuits and gravy, grits, fresh fruit and beverages. All proceeds benefit American Legion youth programs.
Clinkscales Chevrolet Open Car Show
Belton Square | Registration 10 a.m.–noon | Awards at 3 p.m.
Car enthusiasts will have plenty to admire as more than 100 vintage, antique and newer automobiles are expected to fill the Square. Registered exhibitors will vote for the Top 20 vehicles, with cash drawings, cash prizes and trophies awarded.
Opening Ceremonies
Main Stage | 10:45 a.m.
The festival officially gets underway at 10:45 a.m. with the Presentation of Colors by the B-HP AFJROTC, followed by the National Anthem, presentation of special awards and distinctions, and introductions of special guests.
Live Entertainment
Main Stage, Belton Square | 11:30 a.m.–8:30 p.m.
The Main Stage will feature a full day of free entertainment, performances and demonstrations. Featured performers include Flourish Creative Arts Studio, the Sensational Southern Echoes (gospel), 21 Miles (bluegrass), Rankin Revival (Southern rock, country, and blues), and the Combo Kings featuring "I Love Beach Music" Mr. Jackie Gore (beach and classic rock).
Children’s Art Creation Station
Belton Center for the Arts, Belton Square | 11 a.m.–2 p.m.
Young festival-goers can unleash their creativity at the Belton Center for the Arts’ free Art Creation Station and make their own special masterpieces to take home.
Children’s Play
Belton City Square | 10:30 a.m.–8:30 p.m.
The little ones will have plenty of opportunities for fun with inflatable attractions, games and model train rides. A fee applies for individual activities.
Heritage Days at the Depot
Greenspace surrounding Historic Belton Train Depot | 10:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Step back in time at Heritage Days at the Depot, a free, hands-on living history experience celebrating the traditional skills, stories and people who helped shape our region.
Visitors can meet and interact with 13 traditional artisans and historical interpreters, including a railroad engineer, goat farmer, Native American silversmith, a beekeeper, a WWI soldier, Albert Einstein, traditional potter, Gullah storyteller, quill penman, Colonial matron, brick maker and camp cook.
Heritage Days is sponsored by the City of Belton HTAX, WebbCraft Family Foundation, Anderson County Recreation Fund/Councilman Greg Elgin, Foothills Community Foundation, Dodge Industrial, Darby Metalworks, McCoy Ford, Commercial Bank, McDonald’s, KFC, Wendy’s, Hardee’s, Sam's Club, and Subway of Belton.
BAMA Exhibit — Revolution! A Call to Arms
Historic Belton Depot | 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
Visit the Belton Area Museum Association’s newest exhibit, Revolution! A Call to Arms, featuring artifacts and stories connected to South Carolina’s role in the Revolutionary War. Admission is free.
Tours of the Historic Belton Standpipe
Campbell Street | 11 a.m.–2 p.m.
Take a rare look inside one of Belton’s most recognizable landmarks. Free tours of the historic Standpipe will offer an entertaining glimpse inside this unique structure, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
South Carolina Tennis Hall of Fame & Ruth Drake Museum Tours
Belton Depot | 11 a.m.–4 p.m.
Explore two of Belton’s unique cultural treasures. The South Carolina Tennis Hall of Fame celebrates the accomplishments of South Carolina’s notable tennis players, with stories and memories shared by former and current players. The Ruth Drake Museum features a significant collection of artifacts documenting the shared history of Belton and the surrounding area.
Belton Lions Club Booth
Belton Square | 10:30 a.m.– 4 p.m.
Stop by the Belton Lions Club booth for information about upcoming events and activities and to browse the club’s popular merchandise.
Arts & Crafts Vendors
Belton Square | 10 a.m.–8:30 p.m.
More than 40 craft vendors will fill the Square with an impressive selection of handmade treasures and unique merchandise, including jewelry, candles, dog biscuits, wood crafts and much more.
Food Vendors
Belton Square | 10 a.m.–8:30 p.m.
Come hungry! Festival food vendors will offer something for every appetite, from barbecue, hot wings and hamburgers to ice cream, fresh-squeezed lemonade, freeze-dried candy, cotton candy and fried Oreos. With so many choices, nobody will leave hungry!
Fireworks Extravaganza
Belton Square | 8:30 p.m.
The day concludes with one of the festival’s most anticipated traditions—a spectacular fireworks extravaganza over the historic Belton Standpipe. Gather your family and friends and watch the sky light up as the 38th annual festival comes to a dazzling close.
