Calling All Iraq & Afghanistan War Veterans!

The Austin County Fair is honored to recognize and celebrate the Iraq and Afghanistan War Veterans who will be attending our PRCA Rodeo on Thursday, October 8, at 7:30 PM in Koerth Arena.

As part of the evening, we want to personally recognize the veterans in attendance and thank them for their service and sacrifice.

If you are an Iraq or Afghanistan War veteran planning to attend the rodeo, please take a moment to complete the form below so we can include you in this special recognition.

Lil' Wrangler Photo Contest entries are now open!!🤠📸

It’s time to show us your best photos and let those little cowboys and cowgirls shine! 🌟
🧒There will be four age categories:
0-6 months
7-11 months
12-23 months
2-3 years old (must not be older than 3 by Sept. 1)
👯Siblings’ category:
Can be any number of siblings of any age.

📸Pictures can be taken either at the Lil’ Wrangle Photo display on the stage by the 4-H hamburger stand OR any western background of your choice!

Children's Tractor Pull Contest Entries Are NOW OPEN! 🚜💨

Join us for the Children's Tractor Pull Contest on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 2:30 PM🏆

Age Divisions:
🚜 3–4 years old
🚜 5–6 years old
🚜 7–8 years old

Contestants will race against the clock, pedaling a tractor and trailer with added weight to see who can make it the farthest in 30 seconds! 🏁

📅 Entry Deadline: September 4, 2026. There will not be any On-Site Registration!

For more than 12 years as a director, Bernice wears many hats around the fair. Serving on the Scholarship and Social Media Committees, being an assist Treasurer, and always stepping up to help wherever she is needed. 🛠️Entries for the Agricultural Mechanics Project Show are now OPEN!

📅 Entry Deadline: Friday, August 28, 2026 by 5:00 p.m.
📍 Entry forms must be submitted to the Austin County Fair Office.

Don't forget:
✅ A project book including your plans/blueprints, construction photos, and bill of materials is required with each entry.
✅ Exhibitors must be present during judging to discuss their project with the judges.
