Fresh watermelon juice 🍉 >

After years of making this sauce I truly feel like I’ve perfected the art of picking good melons. I’m always looking for the sweetest, juiciest watermelons for our sauce.

Key things I look for are:
1- Dull green exterior rind. Not shiny
2- Webbing is good! The “uglier” the better.
3- Yellow or creamy bottom > white
4- Heavy for its size
5- The hollow sound! When you tap the side you want to hear a deep hollow sound instead of a dull thud.
