Reflecting back on the past two Salsa New Years, what I miss the most isn’t the great performances or even the fun social dancing. It’s that feeling of connection and camaraderie we all embraced. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to facilitate such a joyous event and even more grateful for the outpouring of support I received from the community — Micheal Cahn, Ricardo Linnell, Vanessa Villalobos, Maria Camila y Karlos, Natasha y Alex, Pedro, Yoel photo studios Daniel’s videography, Charles & Marie Romero, Kaji Martinez, Therese McDermott, Karlos Icaro, Lines Dance Academy the Ayala familia, Javier Gemini, Roberto Bastiri, Marco, Victor Martinez Ache, Victor Tumbao Bianca, Sergio Jennifer Silva, Mike Zuniga, Aliona, Guillermo Dave Farfan, Abel Pena, Carolina, Jayson Molina y sus Rompecabezas, Gregorio, Alexandra, BA Brian Dihn, Martin & Gaby de Alma Latina, Milton Martinez, RoseMary Cruz, El Taco Boom, El Parche Colombiano, Cambalache and all the volunteer’s, my family’s support in hosting this event. My mom, brother, sister, daughter, and everyone who joined in to celebrate SNY. 🥳
Juan Felipe Hoyos Ossa, thank you for your patience and support during the ups and downs and especially during the stressful moments while conjuring up Salsa New Year.
Moving forward, SNY would like to wish everyone a happy & safe holiday season. Due to the obvious, this year’s event will not be possible. One thing I can promise you is that I’m committed to turning lemons into margaritas. 🥳 We will use this gift of time to plan something extraordinary for SNY 2022. We’re already thinking outside the box to come up with exciting new ideas beyond that tired old Salsa congress formula. Our plan is to make next year’s SNY an unforgettable over-the-top celebration of music, dance, and magic!
