This year the Victorian Christmas theme was “It’s a Wonderful Life in Bellefonte” so we encouraged participants to incorporate this holiday classic in their creation.

Congratulations to Dan, the winner of this year’s It’s a Wonderful Life Experience in Bellefonte Photo Contest! Thank you to everyone who participated in the scavenger hunt. We hope you enjoyed exploring downtown Bellefonte and capturing photo opportunities inspired by Bedford Falls from the 1946 classic It’s a Wonderful Life.

The weekend’s grand symphonic moment!

🎵 2 p.m. - Join the Bellefonte Community Band in the Bellefonte High School Auditorium for an afternoon concert that captures the heart and joy of the season. Free parking and admission.

🎵 4 p.m. - Experience a moving story of faith, family, and the true meaning of peace at Faith Church for “Peace on Earth?” Choir, dance and original video drama will tell the story. Parking available and no tickets required.

🎵 6 p.m. - Join St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Bellefonte for their Parish Christmas Concert, a joyful evening of song that closes Bellefonte Victorian Christmas in true holiday spirit.

We are so disappointed. but we have decided to cancel all Carriage Rides for Sunday, 12/14, due to inclement weather.
We apologize to those of you who were eagerly awaiting this special ride with those magnificent horses; however, Sunday's weather is predicted wind chills in single digits. After consultation, we do not feel it the right decision to subject the driver, attendants, and the horses to a whole afternoon of these conditions.
In addition, we are unsure of the road conditions with some snow overnight and freezing temperatures.
We regret that we needed to make this decision and we thank you for understanding.

I am Buddy Johnson, the proud Mayor of Bellefonte. My family and I would like to welcome all to our beautiful borough and we hope that this year’s festivities create special memories for you and your loved ones.

The festivities kick off Friday, December 12. Join us at 6 p.m. for as we gather on Howard Street outside of the Miles-Humes House for the Opening Ceremonies featuring the holiday sounds of Victorian Brass, and enjoy food and drink. This will be followed by a Welcome and Proclamation by Mayor at 7 p.m. and be sure to check out our Story each day for the schedule at a glance.

Avoid the hassle of parking downtown and ride the free shuttle service!

The Parking Lot Shuttle will continuously loop to the courthouse, while The Festival of Trees shuttle heads to Lambert Hall, CPI, Titan Market, and the Courthouse (approximately once an hour).

The Downtown Loop Trolley will continuously loop the town from the train station to the courthouse via High, Spring, Bishop, Allegheny, Howard and Lamp street.

Available at the Bellefonte High School from 9 a.m to 6 p.m on Saturday, December 13.
