I’ve seen it used on IDL 2020 posters. I don’t know who created it in the first place, many groups and associations have tweeked and used it.

As you know, we don't have a chairperson for this year yet but Sheila Bentley and Margarete Imhof are taking the project forward. It looks like it will evolve around listening with empathy...

Get ready for the 5th ILA International Day of Listening

The theme for 2020 is not yet defined.

Last year’s IDL theme was based on listening first for similarities – what we have in common. That’s what we meant by ‘listen for common ground’.

You have experienced that once two people have found common ground and priorities (and are surprised by the number of them), it is far easier to discuss differences, points of disagreement or conflict, in a mature and respectful way.
