Get those freezers ready because there’s nothing quite like a pot of Plaquemines Parish shrimp to make a cold winter day feel a whole lot warmer! 🍲🦐

As we welcome another fall shrimp season, we’re sending our prayers, appreciation, and best wishes to our Plaquemines Parish shrimpers as they head out on the water. May the season ahead be safe, successful, and filled with plenty of good catches!

These hardworking men and women are a vital part of our community and a huge part of what makes Plaquemines Parish so special. ❤️

🎣 Plaqueminian Sets New Louisiana State Record! 🏆

Congratulations to Steve Vicknair of Belle Chasse on an incredible achievement! While fishing the Blue Boot Rodeo out of Grand Isle, Steven landed an impressive 48-pound yellowedge grouper—a catch that is now recognized as the new Louisiana state record!

What an outstanding accomplishment and a testament to the world-class fishing opportunities found right here in Plaquemines Parish.

Please join us in congratulating Steven on this remarkable milestone. We’re proud to celebrate one of our own bringing home a Louisiana state record!
