Since we just finished up our America 250 Celebration we thought it would be fun to take a look back at the Bicentennial Celebration in 1976.

The Belhaven, NC Festivals Committee wants to say thank you to everyone that helped make the Belhaven Independence Day Celebration a success.

We want to thank the many businesses that stepped up as sponsors allowing us to make this event the success it was.

We cannot forget to say thank you to our vendor partners as well. Your cooperation in putting all this together did not go unnoticed.

The Committee also wants to thank the Town of Belhaven staff (how about that clean up by Public Works), Mayor Credle, Town Manager Lynn Davis, the Belhaven Police Department and Fire Department.

Lastly we have to say thank you to the citizens and visitors that came out for both Friday and Saturday. Despite the near record heat you were still out there having fun and supporting the event. And the vendors and attraction providers noticed, I heard many comments about how good the attendance was despite the heat.

I need to recognize the Festivals Committee members, if you see these folks please thank them for their efforts to put the 84th Annual Belhaven Independence Day Celebration together.
