Are you ready for some winter base miles--in the summer!?!

How would you like a sagged ride up the third longest climb in the world? Followed by a hot springs hotel at altitude? I would!

We are partnering with Altos Cycling of Colombia for a fantastic cycling trip. These are the same roads and same rider leaders used by legendary professional cyclist Annemiek van Vleuten, and I've used them in the past as well.

We're looking at about 300 miles, including 50 of those miles up the world's THIRD longest climb: Letras. Bikes are available for rental and all lodging accommodations (and most meals) are included in the price.

The Matt's Creek fire in Northwest Bedford County in the Jefferson National Forest is still on everyone's mind. It's now over 6,000 acres and has crossed the Blue Ridge Parkway.

For those planning on getting some great Turkey Miles in next week, please follow U.S. Forest Service - George Washington and Jefferson National Forest for more information.

Visit the National D-Day Memorial this Saturday for a special Veterans Day event taking place at 11 a.m. There will be special music, recognition of all veterans, and keynote speaker Mari K. Eder, retired U.S. Army Major General.

General Eder is also the author of the award-winning "The Girls Who Stepped Out of Line: Untold Stories of the Women Who Changed the Course of WWII".

A book signing will be held following the ceremony. Free admission until noon for all. Veterans receive free admission all day.

We had the best time this past weekend at the Rockbridge Gravel Grinder out of Raphine, VA! This is one of the best, well-thought-out routes you will ever ride.

Have you ever been to a cycling event, where the route left more questions than answers in your head? This route only has only has answers.

They run the event in the Spring and Fall, but if you can't make their event times, it is a fairly ridden route year around.

There are no stores on the route, but there was an outdoor water spicket at the Brownsburg Post Office.

Meet Lisa! She was great to talk to after she rocked out the BED 80! It's always such a huge pleasure to meet the riders as they finish. Every one has there own story, and her finishing smile told us her story!

Our next event is September 28, 2024! Look forward to seeing Lisa again! Maybe for the century??? 😮

We can't thank our friends at the annual Tour de Dirt ride out Floyd, VA for a fantastic event. There were two huge events in our region this weekend, and Tour de Dirt was able to deliver on great gravel roads, fantastic volunteers and spectacular Fall Foliage! And with roughly 350 riders, new friends were made!

This SW Virginia is truly one of the best places to ride and grind in America.
