Festival 2026 will be kicking off with and his collective in the Doris Duke Theatre!

Inspired by the rapid-fire footwork of boxing, the African American jazz dance style Lindy Hop, Gaga movement language, and nightlife culture, "Touch of RED" examines the way Black men are perceived and perceive themselves in contemporary society.

Not only will Shamel Pitts | TRIBE perform week one of our summer festival, but Pitts will also receive the Jacob’s Pillow Men Dancers Award.

Tickets are on sale now for "Touch of RED," June 24-28. 🔗

Happy birthday to Dame Margot Fonteyn! 🎉🩰

In 1973, an advertising campaign for the Pillow's Festival season read, "Margot Fonteyn will be there. What about you?"

Dame Margot’s debut that festival season certainly made a splash: Fonteyn danced "In Nightly Revels," the first performance of a commissioned solo, choreographed by Peter Darrell.

The longtime prima ballerina for The Royal Ballet is regarded as one of the greatest classical dancers of the 20th century.

After seven years, Urban Bush Women returns to Jacob’s Pillow with a story of love, migration, resilience, and jazz.

In S**T!... The Complex Lives of Al & Dot, Dot & Al Zollar, the groundbreaking Black women-led company transforms the stage into a fictional jazz club where song, dance, and storytelling trace one family’s journey through the realities of American life in the 1940s and ’50s. Featuring an original live jazz score by Craig Harris and seven musicians, the work is a powerful blend of theatrical storytelling and movement.

Don’t miss this long-awaited return to the Festival.

Throwback to Boston Ballet at Jacob’s Pillow.

Separated by a two-hour drive on the Mass Pike, Jacob’s Pillow and Boston Ballet have shared a relationship spanning decades. Since the company’s first Pillow appearance in 1962, generations of artists have brought ballet and contemporary works to the Ted Shawn Theatre stage.

Featured here is Playlist (EP) by William Forsythe, created during his residency with the company.
