🖤 ANOTHER OCTOBER INSIDE THE HEGARTY MANSION . . .

For most of the year, we talk about this old house, its history, the people who lived here, and the stories held within its walls.

But every fall, things change.

The lights go down . . . the doors open . . . and for a few weeks, the Hegarty Mansion becomes home to Ravenwood Manor Haunted Attraction — The Asylum.

Opening weekend is behind us, and beginning Friday, October 2nd, our patients, nurses, attendants and other questionable residents will be waiting again.

If you've followed the Hegarty Mansion from afar but have never actually stepped through its doors, October gives you a rather unusual opportunity to do it. Just don't expect a quiet historical tour. 🖤

A DIFFERENT SIDE OF HEGARTY MANSION — RAVENWOOD MANOR OPENS THIS WEEKEND!

Many of you know Hegarty Mansion as a historic Victorian home. But like so many old houses, it has more than one chapter to its story.

During the 1980s, the mansion served as a halfway house for people living with schizophrenia. Records from that period still exist, offering a glimpse into daily life within these walls.

This year, Ravenwood Manor has drawn inspiration from that part of the house's history for its new theme, The Asylum. It's a fictional haunted attraction, but the history that inspired it is real. We felt that connection was worth sharing here on the Hegarty Mansion page, too.

Ravenwood Manor opens Friday and Saturday, September 25 & 26!

We're celebrating opening weekend with a few specials:

Kids 12 and under get in FREE.
Adult admission is just $15.
VIP admission is $30 per person, adults or children, for little or no wait.
FREE parking!

Opening-weekend specials cannot be combined with other ticket discounts.

Hours: Gates & parking open at 6:00 PM • Ticket sales begin at 6:30 PM • Mansion doors open at 7:00 PM.

Fridays & Saturdays: Open until midnight. Sundays: Open until 10:00 PM. All guests who have purchased tickets before closing will be admitted.

Opening weekend: September 25 & 26 only. Closed Sunday, September 27.

Wild Bill will be spinning music for the queue line, and our food vendors will have plenty of hot carnival food. If you've been missing the fair food, come hungry!

A few things to know before you visit:

We are NOT OPEN Sunday, September 27.
Cash only. The nearby ATM closes at 8:00 PM.
Bathrooms are available on-site.
Fog and strobe lights are used in the attraction.
Ravenwood Manor is not wheelchair accessible.
Visibly intoxicated guests will not be permitted to enter.
No refunds.

ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY AT HEGARTY MANSION THIS FALL! 🍂

Not everyone wants to spend October lurking inside Ravenwood Manor scaring people — and that’s perfectly fine! We also need a dependable Parking Attendant to help us outside on Ravenwood nights.

This is a paid seasonal position. Working the complete 17-night season will earn approximately $700, paid at the end of the haunt — some nice extra money heading into Christmas. 🎄

Our parking attendant helps direct arriving vehicles and keeps things moving smoothly as guests begin their evening at the mansion. No haunt or acting experience is necessary.

We operate primarily Friday, Saturday & Sunday evenings, September 25 through November 1.

🎃 HEGARTY MANSION IS LOOKING FOR A FEW MORE BRAVE SOULS... 🎃

Every fall, the old Hegarty Mansion undergoes quite a transformation as Ravenwood Manor Haunted Attraction moves in — and this year, you could become part of what happens inside these walls after dark.

Ravenwood is currently adding several people to its 2026 cast, and here's something many people don't realize: our actors are paid.

A new actor working all 17 scheduled nights will earn approximately $700 for the season, paid at the end of the haunt. Have some Halloween fun, meet some great people, and put a little extra money away for Christmas while you're at it. 🎄

The season runs Friday, Saturday & Sunday evenings, September 25 through November 1, with a full-house brush-up rehearsal on October 4.

No haunt or acting experience is necessary. Costuming, character direction and training are provided. What matters most is being dependable, willing to learn, and able to make a genuine commitment to the season.

There are roles for many different personalities, looks and body types. You may be surprised where you fit once Ravenwood gets hold of you. 🖤

Hegarty Mansion

THE MANSION IS GETTING READY FOR OCTOBER… 🖤

Every fall, Hegarty Mansion takes on a very different life when its rooms, hallways and grounds become home to Ravenwood Manor Haunted Attraction.

Behind all of that are the people who bring it to life—and this season, we still have room for a few more.

Ravenwood Manor is looking for 4–6 additional scare actors for full-season positions inside the mansion, along with outside scare actors to work the grounds.

No haunt experience is necessary. We are looking for dependable people who are willing to learn, become part of a character, work with a team, and help create the experience our guests have when they visit the mansion this October.

We are also looking for a:

🎟️ FRONT PORCH TICKET COLLECTION PERSON — FULL SEASON

This person will be stationed on the historic front porch, greeting guests and collecting their already-purchased tickets before they enter Ravenwood Manor. We need someone who is friendly, dependable, comfortable working with the public, and able to commit to the season.

Interested applicants can message Raven Wood at any time, and we will arrange a time to meet and talk.

Sometimes the Hegarty Mansion leaves us with more questions than answers...

For generations, stories have surrounded this mansion.

Some have been documented, others passed from person to person. There have been ghost stories, unexplained experiences, old rumors and local tales—stories whispered, repeated, embellished and sometimes debated for decades.

Which ones are true? Which grew a little taller with each retelling? And which may have begun with something that really did happen here?

We may never know.

But whether you believe in the paranormal or not, those stories are part of the history of the Hegarty Mansion. They have followed this place through generations, and we believe preserving the history of the mansion also means acknowledging the stories and experiences that have become woven into it.

That is why we felt the photograph we're sharing today belonged here on the Hegarty Mansion page, as well as on our other pages.

It was taken Saturday afternoon during a gathering on the mansion grounds. Nothing unusual was noticed when the photograph was taken.

It wasn't until later that something caught our attention.

And with our Twilight Investigations coming up August 28th & 29th, the timing seemed rather fitting.

We'll place the photograph in the comments below. We're not going to tell you what it is—because we don't know.
