Oregon Sports Awards The Oregon Sports Awards celebrates 65 years in Oregon sports on Sunday, June 18th, 2017 | Oregon’s sports legacy runs deep.

Every year records are broken and limits are stretched on tracks, courts, fields, pitches and pools throughout the state. The Oregon Sports Award’s honors these achievements with an ESPY’s-style production held annually in the Tiger Woods Center at the Nike World Headquarters. Hosted by ESPN sportscaster and Oregon native Neil Everett, the OSA’s is the best night of the year in Oregon sports for a

thletes, coaches, teams, fans and community partners. This year, the Oregon Sports Awards will be on Sunday, June 18th, 2017. For 65 years the Oregon Sports Awards has celebrated the years outstanding performances by Oregon preps, collegians, amateurs, pro’s, teams and coaches - as today’s standouts etch their names alongside the legends of Oregon sports and into the state’s rich athletic history. In 1948, the Oregon Sports Writers and Sportscasters’ Association birthed the Bill Hayward Banquet of Champions. The event was a sit down affair, honoring the greats of Oregon sports. In 1986, the event was renamed the Oregonian Banquet of Champions and in 2001, was revived by ETZEL Agency and rebranded as the Oregon Sports Awards presented by Nike. Past award winners have included the likes of Terry Baker, Dick Fosbury, Steve Prefontaine, Joni Huntley, Tinker Hatfield, Neil Lomax, Danny Ainge, Dan O’Brien, Gary Payton, Tiffeny Milbrett, Joey Harrington, Nick Symmonds, Jordan Kent, Kevin Love, Liz Brenner, Megan Rapinoe, Ashton Eaton and Marcus Mariota.
