We couldn’t resist the ’80s trend. 😂

Did you know our YMBL Girls Volleyball Tournament actually predates the ’80s?!

For 51 years, we’ve been bringing high school volleyball teams together from across Southeast Texas — and this tournament is just one of the many ways the YMBL serves our community throughout the year.

This weekend, one of the players asked us a simple question:

“What does YMBL stand for?”

And we realized… maybe we need to do a better job telling our story.

YMBL = Young Men’s Business League

You may know us from the South Texas State Fair, but the YMBL is so much more than the Fair.

Throughout the year, our members volunteer, host youth events, support local organizations and give back to communities across Southeast Texas.

Our volleyball tournament is the first event of our new fiscal year, so it seems like the perfect place to start.

You know our events. Now it’s time to get to know the YMBL. ❤️

And apparently… what we would have looked like in the ’80s. 😂

Help us congratulate the Orangefield High School Volleyball team for coming in 2nd in our YMBL Volleyball Tournament! Thank you to all the teams who came out to play!

The Lady Bobcats battled through four matches today, earning wins over Bob Hope, East Gate, and East Chambers before a hard-fought battle with Westbrook. The girls took Bob Hope 25-10, 25-9, East Gate 25-12, 25-11, and East Chambers 25-20, 25-20, before falling to Westbrook 23-25, 23-25.

That run earned us a 2ND PLACE FINISH at the YMBL Tournament!

Proud of the way these girls competed, stayed together, and continued to fight for each other all weekend long. 🧡

The Lady Bobcats will be back in action on Tuesday as we hit the road to Anahuac!

Congratulations to all of the teams who competed in the 2026 YMBL Girls Volleyball Tournament! We saw some great volleyball, incredible effort and plenty of team spirit throughout the tournament.
