As we turn the page on 2025 and close another chapter in the story of our nonprofit Pat Conroy Literary Center, we are honored to share that we have -- again -- been selected as a Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice Award recipient! We are beyond grateful to the thousands of literary pilgrims and educational program participants who have chosen to spend time with us this year and to learn more about Pat Conroy's lasting legacy as author and teacher. Thank you so much for visiting with us and supporting us as we continue Pat's vision of transforming lives through the power of stories.

Happy 80th birthday! On behalf of our nonprofit Pat Conroy Literary Center and the Conroy family, thank you to everyone joining us this weekend in Pat's beloved Beaufort to celebrate our 10th annual Pat Conroy Literary Festival, concluding today, on Pat's 80th birthday. Special thanks to our festival's presenting authors, workshop instructors, sponsors, and volunteers. The Pat Conroy Literary Festival reaches its 10th year and plans to celebrate its namesake’s birthday. Conroy, the beloved Beaufort-based novelist who died in 2016, would have turned 80 this year. The festival, always a celebratory event that fosters camaraderie, begins Oct. 23 in Beaufort.
