2023 BLO will be presented on July 7th. Although we haven’t yet settled on a location ( all the big locations are fighting over us and we still haven’t received a big enough bribe) we are certain that there will be cocktails served the night before. With on line betting legal in most states, it’s never too early to show the R and A your appreciation by putting a a little dough on us. The current odds on our team are a million to one.

This year’s BLO will take place on July 7th. It will be played on the glorious Chestnut Hills Golf Course. USGA senior management are working on the course now and it will be in top condition and tournament ready! Club management is VERY excited about hosting such a prestigious event.
We will assemble the night before as usual. Drinking will be permitted this year.

Alert! New Date!
Because more than 100,000 spectators are expected for this this year’s BLO, the course has asked us to move the date until Thursday the 8th. They need extra time to install grandstands and places for the TV coverage to set up.
So please adjust your calendar ahead by one day. Festivities on evening of the 7th and tournament on the 8th.

The 2021 Bear Lake Open extravaganza will take place on Wednesday July 7th.The field is wide open this year and talent from all over the country is lining up to compete. We will eliminate most of them the night before as is our custom at a destination TBD.
We look forward to seeing you without a mask.

2020 BLO will be held Tuesday July 7. Dr. Fauci has laid out the rules for safe play and has made some excellent suggestions including adding a one club only hole.
The Calcutta remains TBD but some entertaining suggestions have been made and others are uncharacteristically welcome.
We look forward to seeing you.

Confirmed. An agent of the R and A has visited the site of the tourney and paid the appropriate bribes. We are in for 7-2.
